Would you like to read what I had to say about a mystery writer who really inspired me?  I felt as if Anne George was a member of my family.  Read my article in Mystery Scene Magazine here.

Yes! LITTLE BLACK BOOK OF MURDER is in stores now!  Where do you buy books? Barnes and Noble? For your Kindle? Your iPad? From Amazon? It doesn't matter. All booksellers now carry The Blackbird Sisters Mysteries.  (See the links to the right of this box?)  I hope you enjoy this installment in Nora Blackbird's life.  She's at a turning point in this story, and the mystery is a real puzzler. Let me know what you think by posting a review online. (It's a huge help for books to have reviews on Goodreads, Amazon, B&N and wherever you choose books.)  Meanwhile, I'm putting the finishing touches on next year's Blackbird mystery--A LITTLE NIGHT MURDER.  Little black

The Blackbird Sisters Paper Dolls

Over on my Facebook page, you can see all of the Blackbird Sisters paper doll designs that readers are sending to me.  They're fabulous! Here's a design created by Philadelphia reader Susan Shain, who says it's a Norell dress from  the 1960s, and Nora wore it for a lunch with Rory Pendergast.  Pretty cool, right?  Use the "Contact Me' box to send me your mailing address, and I'll send you a set of paper dolls--as long as my supply holds out. Writing, writing, writing!

Yes, I'm gearing up for the summer release of the 9th Blackbird Sisters Mystery, LITTLE BLACK BOOK OF MURDER (how do you like the cover?) which will hit stores on August 6th.  Meanwhile, I'm writing like mad.  The 10th Blackbird is due on my editor's desk this fall.  (I'm still trying to dream up a title.  Any suggestions?)

Did you know you can pre-order LITTLE BLACK BOOK now?  Click on any of the bookseller links to the right of this column.

See you in August!  Until then..........I'm writing!

Investigation Discovery

Yes, that's definitely me on the Investigation Discovery program Fatal Vows.  When Dr. Gulam Moonda was brutally murdered, I closely followed all the developments in the case and the subsequent prosecution and conviction of his heartless killer. The program producers contacted me to narrate parts of the show.  My books aren't anything like the real-life murder of Dr. Moonda, but I was very disturbed by the circumstances of his death and think about it often when I write.  He was a caring physician as well as a philanthropist--an inspiration to many people.

Blackbird #9--yes!

The good news?  I have finished the ninth book in the Blackbird Sisters mystery series, and my editor and I are fine-tuning the pages.  It's called LITTLE BLACK BOOK OF MURDER, and the cover art will be coming soon. The not-so-great news? The book won't reach bookstores until August, 2013--ack!  Between now and then, though, I hope to publish a couple more Blackbird "shorts" to whet appetites. Stay tuned!
